This is the first version of my piece “The self is not a wall but more like water”.

Exploring the spiritual connection, I abstract my face with videos of water as it moves, flows and draws.

The red of my hair blends but is emphasised against the reflections and ripples in the water.

Playing with the water’s own moving drawings, I use these as an accompaniment to the sound piece. The viewer becomes captivated by the moving image and is enticed into the sound.
